Go ahead,<br \/>\nspring, pee on my grass.<\/p>\n<p>Let boys come to school without deodorant.<br \/>\nLet boiler rooms cook painted windows<br \/>\ninto brick. Let me go to bed cozy and wake up freezing,<br \/>\nspring, do these things. Let men fill my boxes with mail.<br \/>\nLet them pineapple after me. Let them circle my building<br \/>\nin the evening humming throaty come out of your house<br \/>\ntonight, Karen songs. Let them offer beds of tulips, draw<br \/>\nclose with toothbrushes tapping at my fire escape.<br \/>\nLet each pull a hair from his head and hold it<br \/>\nbetween his fingers. Let us see which one<br \/>\nthe wind carries in.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/finneyfrock.wordpress.com\/\">Karen Finneyfrock<\/a> is a poet, novelist and teaching artist in Seattle, WA. Her second book of poems, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Ceremony-Choking-Ghost-Poems-Finneyfrock\/dp\/0984251545\"><em>Ceremony for the Choking Ghost,<\/em> <\/a>was released on Write Bloody press in 2010.
