\nWithin, allow it to ride the wind:
\nOne ascends on red dragon-scaled wings.
\nThe other glides as a flat fish\u2014a skate\u2014
\nHuge rainbow body ruffling on salt air.
\nWe have turned from dimes
\nExchanged for uprooted weeds
\nThat the oldest has picked. And from
\nThe youngest collecting gamatoes<\/em>\u2014
\nThe word slowly transformed
\nBy his tongue, clicked against his palate,
\nInto t-t-tomatoes<\/em>\u2014
\nWork, then this lifting.<\/p>\n
