There!\u201d we\u2019d yell<br \/>\nAs planes swooshed low<br \/>\nAnd dirt blossomed upward<br \/>\nAnd lives and property<br \/>\nWere destroyed for our enjoyment.<\/p>\n<p>And mama screamed<br \/>\nAnd called us to her bosom.<br \/>\nThis time, we answered her tears with,<br \/>\n\u201cMama, it\u2019s so <em>exciting!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Little Boys and War&#8221; is reprinted from <em>Cradle Songs, An Anthology of Poems on Motherhood <\/em>edited by Sharmagne Leland\u2013St. John and Rachelle Yousuf.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.lenorarain-leegood.com\/poetry.html\">Lenora Rain-Lee Good<\/a> lives and writes in Kennewick, Washington.
