Orange light quiets the sky.
\nColor stains trees

Lean back in your chair,
\nfeet bare in tickling grass,
\nwhile the sun sinks behind the hill.<\/p>\n
Sparrows flit
\nfrom limb to limb
\nin the orchard.<\/p>\n
The smell of apples
\nbecoming themselves
\ncan ripen you, too.<\/p>\n
Feel the air begin
\nto cool your shoulders,
\nkissing your face, blessing it.<\/p>\n
Catch the earth’s pulse
\nthrough the soles of your feet.
\nListen to the dark arrive.<\/p>\n
Fill your empty place
\nwith this horizon.
\nHold it all lightly,<\/p>\n
like that. Just like that.
\nSit here, home,
\nthe taste of evening in your mouth.<\/p>\n
