Everything around here
\nglows red, even the faces
\non brick window ledges.<\/p>\n
Old women smile and look ahead.<\/p>\n
Bubble tea,
\ndrop-tops
\nand noodle shops,
\none on every corner.<\/p>\n
The trash bins are full of people looking for work.<\/p>\n
The alleyways echo with the clatter of sudsy dishes,
\ncoughing fits and gobs of spit.<\/p>\n

Kevin Minh Allen<\/a> was born Nguy\u1ec5n \u0110\u1ee9c Minh on December 5, 1973 near S\u00e0i G\u00f2n, Vietnam to a Vietnamese mother and American father who remain unknown to him. He was adopted by a couple from Rochester, NY and grew up in Webster, NY with his two younger sisters. In 2000, he moved to Seattle, WA to pursue a life less ordinary.
