I wonder what you think<br \/>\nI see when I see you, he said,<br \/>\nwith that hair and that beard<br \/>\nand that look in your eye and<br \/>\nthose filthy jeans and that trash<br \/>\non your tongue, and by now<br \/>\nhe was shouting, that greasy hair<br \/>\nand that beard and those filthy jeans<br \/>\nI mean Jesus, he said, you look like<br \/>\nCharles Manson with that greasy hair<br \/>\nand that beard and that look in your eye<br \/>\nand those trashy jeans and that<br \/>\nfilth on your tongue and that look<br \/>\nand that trash and that filth<br \/>\nand that hair and that beard<br \/>\nand those jeans I mean Jesus.<br \/>\nHe said, I mean Jesus.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Many of Joseph Green\u2019s poems have been collected in His Inadequate Vocabulary (1986), Deluxe Motel (1991), Greatest Hits 1975-2000 (2001), and The End of Forgiveness (2001). &#8220;Jesus, Charles Manson&#8221; is from his new collection, <a href=\"http:\/\/moonpathpress.com\/JosephGreen.htm\">That Thread Still Connecting Us <\/a>(2012). At the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/note.php?note_id=10150150728958529\">Peasandcues Press<\/a>, he produces limited-edition, letterpress-printed poetry broadsides, using hand-set metal type; and at the C.C. Stern Type Foundry, in Portland, he is part of a team working to preserve the craft of casting the type itself.
