\ni\u2019d find any object & throw it
\nfar enough to watch you run
\nbut close enough for you not
\nto get discouraged at the distance
\nof the thing you want the most
\nif you were my baby\/us tied
\nby a bloody chord of spirit &
\nsacrifice i\u2019d hold you close to my heart
\n& let you hear something familiar,
\nsomething true
\nlet the thump surround sound
\nyou. watch your lips pleat
\ninto a smile.
\nbut you are fear & i don\u2019t know
\nhow to stop your grinding, gnawing
\ngnashing\u2014as there is no comfort
\nfor separating a thing from its
\nmaker.<\/p>\n
